Karn Malholtra

Karn Malhotra was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993. In 1998, he received his LL.M. in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School. Karn practised in personal injury litigation for three years in Delhi, India before relocating to Canada.

He articles with a personal injury firm in Hamilton, and since his Call to the Bar, has practised primarily in personal injury litigation.

Walter (Ted) Stayshyn

Walter (Ted) Stayshyn received his B.A. from Wilfred Laurier University in 1993 and his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1996. Ted was called to the Bar in l998. Ted has worked at several top personal injury law firms in Ontario where he focused on car accidents, slip and falls, disability claims, professional negligence, medical malpractice, and wrongful dismissal claims. He also worked extensively in the growing area of class actions, doing both the Eaton's Class Action 1999 and Walkerton Class Action 2000.

Derek E. Wilson

Derek completed his LLB at the University of Alberta in 1993. He articled with Tick and Associates focusing on personal injury litigation.

In 1996, Derek left Tick and Associates to pursue a Master of Laws degree, which degree he successfully obtained with Merit from the London School of Economics. The Masters degree included a specialized focus on personal injury.

The Honourable Walter T Stayshyn

Former Superior Court Justice, Walter T. Stayshyn joined Malhotra Stayshyn & Wilson in November 2009 when he retired from the bench. His practice is focused on Mediations and providing advice to other lawyers.

Walter Stayshyn is a graduate of McMaster University, having received his B.A and having also been awarded his Letter in Football and Basketball. Following his undergraduate degree, Walter attended Osgoode Hall Law School.

Gary R. Logan, Q.C [ret.]

Gary R. Logan, Q.C [ret.]

Retired counsel, Gary Logan, Q.C joined Malhotra, Stayshyn & Wilson in February 2010. His involvement in the firm is focused on mediation and as a consultant.

Gary Logan is a graduate of Victoria University where he received his B.A. in 1961. In 1964, Gary received his LL.B. in 1964 from Osgoode Hall, and was called to the Bar with Honors in 1966. In December 1978, Gary was appointed Queen's Counsel. In 1990, he completed a Mediation course with the Canadian Dispute Resolutions Company.

Peter Shen

Peter Shen

The Law Firm of Malhotra, Stayshyn & Wilson is pleased to announce that Peter M. Shen has joined the firm to continue practicing Personal Injury Law.

Peter is a graduate of the University of Windsor, Ontario, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Math, an M.B.A and his LL.B. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979. Since this time, Peter Shen has practiced law with a major municipal government, a major law firm in Toronto, and also major Chinese law firm in Toronto. He has also held a private practice in various areas of law.
