Ted Stayshyn - Personal Injury Lawyer in HamiltonWalter (Ted) Stayshyn received his B.A. from Wilfred Laurier University in 1993 and his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1996. Ted was called to the Bar in l998. Ted has worked at several top personal injury law firms in Ontario where he focused on car accidents, slip and falls, disability claims, professional negligence, medical malpractice, and wrongful dismissal claims. He also worked extensively in the growing area of class actions, doing both the Eaton's Class Action 1999 and Walkerton Class Action 2000.

Ted has had great results appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Offences Court, Canada Pension Plan Appeal Tribunal and Financial Services Commission.

He regularly participates in continuing legal education programs in order to provide the most up-to-date information and legal services to his clients. As a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Ted has traveled to Denver Colorado, New Orleans and Europe in this pursuit. Ted has written papers that have been published by The Law Society of Upper Canada, "Class Actions in Employment Law - Strike While the Iron is Hot" (May 29, 2000). He co-authored the paper "Bad Faith: Unlimit the Limits" (October 6, 1995) with David Smye, Q.C. Ted has also appeared at The Law Society of Upper Canada to lecture and teach other lawyers. He also wrote papers and lectured for the Hamilton Law Association on February 20, 2007 on the Topic of "Do's and Don'ts on running a Contingency Practice". He recently was appointed to the Board of Director of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation in 2008.
